D Course
 

The 24 Hr. “D” Course is given on the second Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and the fourth Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of every month (See Calendar for actual dates) from 8 AM to 4PM at a cost of $38.00 to the student also the fingerprints, notary and photo will cost the student $18.00. 

This class includes training in, but not limited to: Florida Statues, Legal Issues, Basic Emergency First Aid, Ethics, Patrol Techniques, Observation Techniques, Report Writing, Interviewing, Fire Detection, Crime & Accident Prevention, Emergency Procedures, Crime & Accident Protection and Terrorism Awareness.

There will be an examination of 100 questions at the end of the course which the student must pass with a 70 per cent or better.


The 16 Hr “D” Course is given the second week of every month on Thursday and Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM at a cost of $38.00 per student for the classroom instruction. There are special rates for groups from a security company.

This class includes training in, but not limited to Public Relations, Courtroom Procedures, Fundamentals of Personal Security, Interpersonal & Professional Communications, Traffic Direction, Crowd Control, Special Problems for Security, and Terrorism Awareness.

There will be an examination of 70 questions at the end of the course which the student must pass with a 70 per cent or better.

* As there is limited seating, pre-registration and a small deposit is required to hold a seat for a student.
