The Port Security 18 Hr Course is given the fourth week of every month on Monday and Tuesday from 8 AM to 5 PM at a cost of $100.00 per student.
This class includes all training as required per ISPS (Parts A & P) and MTSA (33 CFR, Parts 104 & 105), but is not limited to: Intro to Maritime Security & Antiterrorism, Maritime Security Policies, Security Responsibilities, Maritime Security Assessment, Security Equipment, ISPS Security Plans, Threat Identification, Ship & Port Facility Security Actions, Emergency Preparedness, Security Administration & Management, and Security Training.
There are eleven sections to the Port Security 18 Hr Course, with an examination at the end of each section. The student must pass each examination with a score of 75 per cent or better.
